Designing events– as well as spaces – with a brand identity
Last May, for the second year in a row, the Private Club Habanos brought together lovers of Cuban cigars at an event regarded as the most important event of the Habanan world to be held in Spain – the event also has a great international impact as it has also taken place in previous years. What was the chosen setting for the event? The Casa Pilatos in Sevilla, a privileged and unique building in the Andalusian capital, a synthesis of Gothic-Moorish architecture combined with Renaissance and Romanticism styles.
Given the complexity of the assembly process due to space, poor lighting conditions and the tight event schedule, Club Habanos decided to put their trust in Abbsolute Group for the design and production of this event that promised to be very special. With a previous concept adapted to the Night Habanos brand, we designed a special lighting to celebrate the occasion, as well as the sound, audio-visuals and a set of elements (check-in counters, photo calls, totems, display cabinets, etc.), which gave the location a discrete but substantial brand presence, a homogenous and minimalist style that incorporated the details of such a majestic scenario in their lines and shapes. The audience enjoyed the presence of numerous partner brands of gourmet products (Porsche, Caviar de Río Frío, Club Premier, Chivas, Champagne Charles Heyds, Quesos Boffard, Habana Club, Ximénez Espínola, Cruzcampo Gran Reserva, Nespresso, Conservas Frinsa, Ginebra Plymouth, etc.), which together with the various workshops, and offers of tastings and pairings, made this evening reflect exactly what was planned, that is, as a unique and exclusive event.
