In Spain, it is estimated that 59% of young people between 10 and 19 years of age suffer from some mental disorder.
At Absolute, we felt called to contribute in a significant way and that is why we committed to the project proposed by Save the Children in Andalusia, convinced that we could do our bit for a cause as urgent as it is vital.
It was a real honor to collaborate in this project, which allowed us not only to support a crucial cause, but also to connect with young people in a unique and transformative way.
Aware of the need to create safe and non-judgmental spaces, we designed a communicative action that offered young people the opportunity to express themselves freely. All this under a concept as powerful as it is necessary: mental love. This approach starts from the importance of taking care of our mind to be strong, equipping young people with the necessary emotional tools to face difficult situations with confidence.
This concept came to life through various digital actions. We started with the day “Frases con Poder (y Querer)” (Phrases with Power (and Want), where we invited young people and adults to share those words they would have liked to hear in critical moments of their childhood or adolescence. It was a moment of reflection and empathy, which culminated in a contest designed to encourage participation, offering as a prize experiences aligned with Save the Children's values. The winners were invited to special events organized by the institution, where they shared their stories, creating a community of support and hope.
The project reached its climax with “One Heartbeat,” an emotional action in which all participants symbolically joined hands to represent unity in mental health care. This simple but powerful gesture conveyed the message that we all have the ability and responsibility to care for our own minds as well as the minds of others.
Through these actions, we not only sow hope and peace of mind in the hearts of young people, but also help build positive change in their lives and in their communities, aligning ourselves with Save the Children's noble goal.
